Violin Adventures with Courtney Brendal. Each child will have the opportunity to learn about the violin and receive hands-on instruction. For the parents, Courtney will speak on the importance of music education. Ages 4-8 recommended. Parent accompany preferred.

Art in Music: Storyteller Fran Stallings will tell “Dancing Words: Stories to Dance About” as a prelude to Princess Tea Tuesday. Learn about world folktales in which dancing plays a key role and will include “Twelve Dancing Princesses.” Ages 5 to 12 recommended. All ages welcome.

TUESDAY, June 13, 10:00 a.m. at Hopestone, 206 SE Frank Phillips Blvd. Cost $3.
Art and Crafts: Children will join Tamika Straw for Punchinello with a Guitar by Pablo Picasso. The children will create a clown collage using colorful sheets of paper cut into different shapes. Kids will use glue and scissors to create their clown. During storytime, kids will hear a popular book called Nibbles. It’s about a little monster that loves to eat books, and he jumps into different books and changes the story. After reading the book, the children will make a Nibbles bookmark to take home. Ages 8 to 12 recommended. All ages welcome.

Princess Tea — Daughters and mom or friend can enjoy an afternoon of tea, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment by harpist Kathy Stewart. Space is limited. Ages 5 to 10 recommended. All ages welcome.

Prairie Woman — Julie Pattison and Erinn Rakes will discuss the history of the buffalo statues throughout the community and then attendees will paint a small buffalo. These will be displayed in the Art Gallery at Price Tower until the end of June. Ages 8 and up recommended. All ages welcome.

FRIDAY, June 16, 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Hopestone, 206 SE Frank Phillips Blvd. Cost $25 each. Art in Painting — Paint, pop and pizza. Explore your creative side during this painting party and enjoy lunch at the same time! Ages 6 and up recommended. All ages welcome.
