OK MOZART has become a nationally and internationally recognized event that serves as a valuable asset to our state and local community. As OK MOZART continues to evolve we need your support to help us achieve our goals for continued artistic success, increased educational outreach for students and long term financial sustainability. While OK MOZART consistently brings the best artists from New York and around the world to Oklahoma, please realize that ticket sales cover less than 25% of our annual operating costs. The OK MOZART Festival would not be possible without the generosity of our patrons who make an annual tax deductible contribution.

A Variety of Tax-Wise Giving Options

Bequests

• A Patron of the Festival may simply leave a gift to OK MOZART in his or her will.
• Current Gifts of Cash, Appreciated Stock or Other Assets

The donor would realize a tax deduction for the fair market value of the assets without being subject to a capital gains tax on the appreciation.

Bequests of IRA Remainders

• This could be particularly appealing to a patron of the Festival because balances left in traditional IRAs are subject to harsh taxes upon death-greater than 80% in some cases. The balance is first subjected to income taxes and the remainder is taxed at estate tax rates. None of these taxes would apply if the IRA balance was bequeathed to OK MOZART.

Named Endowment Opportunities

• These gifts would fund orchestra chairs, Showcase Events, special events and concerts, recordings, exhibits and local or national broadcasts.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

• A gift would be made to a properly structured trust with instructions that the income from the trust is paid to the donor or other beneficiary for life, or a specified number of years, with the balance of the trust to be paid to the Foundation upon the death of the beneficiary or expiration of the number of years specified. The donor would realize a current tax deduction for the present value of the remainder that would later be received by OK MOZART.
