BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — The Woolaroc Outdoor Concert is always one of the best attended concerts during the OK Mozart Festival, which kicks off June 8-16 in Bartlesville.
The family-friendly event, planned at 8 p.m. June 16, features the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra performing a selection of Disney movie themes. Enjoy songs from “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Frozen,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and more.
Keep an eye out for Mickey and Minnie characters, as well as Disney princesses. Children attending the concert will receive free mouse ears, while they last.
“TSO and OKM welcome everyone to the familiar and fun sounds of Disney outdoors,” said TSO executive director Ron Predl. “Bring a picnic and the whole family to enjoy this relaxed evening as you treat your eyes and ears to the natural beauty of northeastern Oklahoma and your favorite classic Disney musical masterpieces. See you there!”
Guest conductor Ron Spigelman will lead the orchestra. With many years as a music director, conductor, soloist and trumpet player, he has garnered prestigious awards and accolades.
Come early for the pre-concert entertainment. Dancing by the Delaware Tribe begins at 6 p.m., followed by songs from the Children’s Musical Theatre alumni (Alex Rivera, Katie McCollum, Paige Cleveland, Julie Welch, Katrina Randolph).
